Rumours floating arouind the net at the moment are indicating that this Monday 28th Jan, the whiter than white PS3 from Japan will be released in the United States at retail. This is not all though, as rumour also has it that it will be released at a new fangled price of just $299 of your hard earned. The price of the black PS3 is also said to be reduced to bring it in line with the new white one.
Demand will certainly be high, so if you would like to add a bit of sparkle to your living quarters this month then you had better be quick, as the word on the street is that they will be in short supply to start with. The black 80gig PS3 is also said to have its own price drop, being reduced from $499.99 to $449.99.
So hopefully from Monday there will be 3 versions of the PS3 to choose from in the United States.

This seems like quite the rumour. at least get the date right, monday is the 28th.
